What should I do if I have damage?
If your home suffers damage or destruction, before you file a claim with your insurance company. CALL AMAZING ROOFERS to assess the damages.
Here are some general tips which may assist you when filing a claim:
1. Write down who you spoke with and when (date & time).
2. Take lots of photos: By taking photos and videos of your damage, it will be easier for your insurance company to see what is going on, especially if you have already begun making repairs to your property. Avoid throwing anything away until the adjuster has visited your home.
3. Make temporary repairs: Take reasonable steps to protect your property from further damage this is a condition within your policy and will prevent issues along the way. You should also save all receipts for what you are spending and provide copies to your insurance company for reimbursement consideration.
4. Prepare a home inventory: You should always keep a home inventory list before any damage to your home is done, so you won't be flustered in times such as this. If you do not already have a list, try your best to walk around your home to make one so you will be able to report specific losses to your insurance company.
